"So That They May Be One, As We Are One"

"And I have given them the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me."

One:  Being the same kind or quality

Whole:  Free of defect or impairment

Humanity can not be whole (free of defect) but can be brought in the direction to make progress towards perfection in being of the same kind of people who live virtuously.  This is why we have a savior in Jesus Christ because we all fall short of being free from our sins (impairment).  So if you hear the term that humanity can be whole, raise a red flag in your mind.  Humanity can attain the glory of God through Christ's death and resurrection only.  We need to strive to be as much like Christ as possible.  True believers in his teachings and saving powers.  This will help us attain oneness in the glory God and Christ share together.  Christ has given his followers the glory God has given himself so that we may be of the same quality of disciples just as Christ is a true disciple of His Father in heaven.
